So you want to be a mold maker?

Mold making is as easy as you want it to be, but it can become more and more complex as you learn and experiment. We've made ComposiMold Re-usable Molding Materials to make it easy for you to learn mold making.

Where to Start Your Mold Making

Start Simple. Find a relief sculpture with one flat side and try it. Don't worry. ComposiMold is re-usable. Any mistakes, just re-melt and start again.

We had a business client of our who thought they were smart enough to make a complex 2 part mold the first time they had ever made a mold. By the time they were through, they had spend over $3000 making molds and still didn't get a finished product! After you make your first mold or two, you can explore and experiment with other mold making techniques. Maybe brush-on molds? Maybe a cut block mold where you cut down the sides of the mold? And then you can try the 2 part molds. They are relatively easy after you learn the basics.
