Organic Castings with an Eco-friendly Mold Making Material

Leaves, bark, acorns, tree branches, animal tracks...it's fun just experimenting. Make a mold, make a casting, make some changes, make another... It just keeps going...

ComposiMold Mold Making and ComposiCast Urethane-Fisherman Figurine

The old man fisherman was a nice little figurine to mold and cast. The ComposiMold mold was made the same way as most other molds. The man was placed in a container and the melted ComposiMold was poured over his head. After it cooled. The new ComposiCast resin was used. About 20 grams of part 1 was mixed with 20 grams of part 2 of the urethane casting material. After about a minute of mixing, it was poured into the mold. 

Now he has a fishing partner.

Christmas Scarecrow with Lamb Molded with ComposiMold and Polyurethane Resin

This was another ornament from our Christmas tree. Method of making was easy enough. Place in a cup, pour ComposiMold over it, when cool add a resin. -Don't forget some mold release. This was a polyurethane resin, but this casting would also work well with plaster of paris or epoxy.

I like being able to experiment with the ComposiMold mold making material. Every day I'm thinking, " I wonder what that will look like molded?" Without any trouble I can try it.
